The Power for Prayer

Passion For Prayer. We are His Passion. According to Webster’s Dictionary, the word “passion” means suffering or agony. Jesus is passion. What is your passion? Jesus began his ministry in prayer and fasting (Luke 3:21). Jesus prayed often through the day, through the night and early in the morning (Mark 1:35, Luke 5:16, 6:12). Jesus prayed in the garden of Gethsemane before His death on the cross (Luke 23:34). Jesus is still praying right now at the mercy seat of God for the souls of mankind (Heb 7:25). His passion was a passion for prayer. Why? Because prayer was the channel that brought Jesus into intimacy with the Father. Jesus knows it is only prayer that will bring us into intimacy with the Father as well. Without prayer nothing can happen;with prayer anything can happen. Prayer is the substance behind all miracles. It is the key to fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Prayer changes history. Prayer changes you. Prayer is what the devil hates and what he is most afraid of.
